You want to support the farm. You love what we're doing with our regenerative practices & loving animal welfare... BUT you don't know how to knit.

Where to begin? RIGHT HERE!

Everything needed is included in this very beginner friendly kit. Enough yarn to knit one adult sized hat in our super soft American Sourced Rambouillet. A circular needle set (for knitting the hat body) and a set of double point needles aka DPNs for when the decreases become too small for the circular needles. Just what you need including three FREE PATTERN OPTIONS to choose from. Once you've made this one you will have the skills to knit another. And another. And then.... watch out, because you just might find yourself knee deep in sheep. You've been warned, it's a slippery slope!

It's a family affair. Together with the farming prowess of Luke and the natural dyeing genius of Cindy with the marketing brain of Sherry- the Mitchell Wool Farm brings naturally climate beneficial wool to conscientious makers throughout the country who seek an alternative to plastic & chemically altered yarns. They manage a flock of 170 happy sheep, all of whom have a name and are dearly loved.

One Kit= 3.75 bales of hay for the flock

(Our critters consume 14 bales of locally grown hay per day from October - May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)
