We learned so quickly that there were many small farms that had fleece they were sitting on because it was too difficult to process yarn and bring it to market. Or the wholesale cooperatives weren't paying enough to bother with.

As farmers ourselves, we knew the TRUE COST of raising the flock to the highest standard. Because WE do it ourselves. And so to fill the need, AMERICAN FIBER WAS BORN. In 2023 we launched our Yarn Shop Partnership Line- breed specific ethically raised yarn that supports the American family farm.
