Shearing Day - January 10 2026

We want EWE to come spend the day with us on the farm!  It's shearing day which means its all hands on deck and we rely greatly, and deeply appreciate, help from our community.  Without a HERD of humans our FLOCK would not be managed so well!  What's shearing day entail you ask?  At this volunteer event you will:

• join us from 9am-1pm to watch the sheep be sheared and help manage the fleece 
• help with food prep, and food set up
  
• 'runners' needed to transport freshly shorn fleece to the shop
• bring your muscles to help move sheep inside lambing barn for shearer and into new areas post shearing
• recorders to help record each sheep sheared
• organize the many buns of waiting fleece
• Get your hands in raw wool to skirt (pick out the vegetable matter and poos)
• see the flock dance naked in the delight of dropping that fleece
  
• fed farm fresh lunch to keep your energy up

Cost of attendance is FREE (we appreciate our volunteers!!)
