Let's get BAAAAAAck to the basics with what we know so very well.  Sheep!  If you are interested in learning more about sheep, beyond just the glorious fibers they share with us, this one day intensive is for you!  You will learn:

  • why we choose not to be an organic farm 
  • personalities of different breeds 
  • gestation, birth rates and cycles 
  • fleece differences between our breeds
  • what is staple length and why does it matter
  • the important of shearing and how to do it properly to not damage the fleece
  • meat from different breeds of sheep 
  • lamb vs mutton meat classification
