PERFECT MOMENTS VEST-

Jill Bigelow Suttell of @thebeanknits designed a beautiful modern cable vest with a split hem to highlight the exquisite softness and lustrous fiber. It shows off the 3 ply stitch definition beautifully. You can purchase the printed pattern with your yarn and be ready to cast on! Sizes require only 3-5 skeins to complete the garment as written. 

THE BESTIES HAT KIT - 

CONTAINS TWO SKEINS AND A HAT PATTERN providing enough yarn to make coordinating hats for you and your boo! Printed pattern by Truly Myrtle for the Thinking Cap, a slouchy hat in two colors with a modern chevron design. Sizes up to Adult Medium (22" circumference) will allow you to get two hats from the yarn included. CHOOSE POND AND NATURAL OR PASTURE AND NATURAL

Never super washed, the yarn in this collection has been naturally mordanted to lock in the color as much as possible. Spinning oils from the mill have been removed using plant based laundry soap. We then hand dye it ourselves using sustainably harvested plants, insects & food waste. Scroll down for details on each of our hand dyed color ways.  Our best attempt will be made to select complimentary skeins for your project.

(Our critters consume 14 bales of locally grown hay per day from October - May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)

Three colors available

Natural White- undyed. It has the oatmeal hue that the cashmere goats give it, with the spring and bounce of the Cormo sheep. A perfect pairing to highlight elaborate cables or stitch definition in intricate patterns on a classic timeless background.

Pasture - everyone's favorite spring green. It's organic and natural in hue yet vibrant as a spring field. Cindy achieves this color using mulberry leaves and chlorophillian.

Pond - a soft icy blue. Think of the shade that icicles throw when they glittering in that vibrant 6am sunshine, the sort of day where every looks like it has been hit with diamond dust and we're living in a snowglobe. That's pond, pure and raw and the perfect shade of blue.

Natural dyes are like snowflakes, each skein will vary and you should alternate skeins throughout your piece to achieve a subtle blend. Do not dry or store in direct sun. Hand wash & care for it like the heirloom it is. Natural dyes soften & fade like your favorite jeans, getting softer in hue with time. This is not a defect. It's nature.
