This is a collaboration between two women owned Michigan Yarnie companies- a true embodiment of what Barbie means. Building businesses that support others, fostering creativity, and run by strong Barbies! Ruth of BlueBird Makery creates beautiful buttons and notions in her Novi Michigan studio using technology and her design expertise.

Together with the farming prowess of Luke (Who is decidely Ken-ough!) and the natural dyeing genius of Cindy with the marketing brain of Sherry- the Mitchell Wool Farm brings naturally climate beneficial wool to Barbies and Kens throughout the country who seek an alternative to plastic & chemically altered yarns. They manage a flock of 150 happy sheep, all of whom have a name and are dearly loved.

One Kit= 3.75 bales of hay for the flock

(Our critters consume 14 bales of locally grown hay per day from October - May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)
