AUTHENTIC HUDSON BAY Wool blanket, our own sheep's leather, filled with wool. It's a dreamy combination of sustainable beauty!

Made right here on the farm by Cindy using an AUTHENTIC 3.5 point HUDSON BAY vintage blanket, our own sheep’s leather and a lofty wool stuffing.

We honor the sheep by wasting not one bit of their wool. Noils are the fluffy bits that are a byproduct of combing the washed fiber to make yarn. Fine wool has a higher amount of noils because the micron diameter of the fiber is very small and the waste is sluffed off.

In addition, our zippered throw pillows are sewn using an authentic HUDSON BAY Wool blanket , they help the planet by using existing resources rather than new materials. The leather is from our own sheep, again wasting not one bit and honoring the sacrifice of the animal by utilizing all of it. It is tanned naturally by a Michigan family farm, no chemicals are involved, thus ascribing to our climate commitment. Cindy sews these as the pieces dictate, so each are unique. They're beautiful quality and a great testament American Wool.

One Pillow = 14 bales of hay for the flock

(Our critters consume 14 bales of locally grown hay per day from October - May when our pastures are resting. Your support puts hay in the barn and employs both the Mitchell team and the local hay grower.)
